Games for Snow Days - January 2020

Board games are one of the best parts of a snow day. This list is curated around my goals of getting some energy out without destroying the house and also minimizing the number of fights between kids stuck at home together.

Uno Moo

Uno for preschoolers but early elementary school kids enjoy it too. Be the first to get all your animals back in the barn.

Coffee table size magnetic air hockey with a few extra elements. Kids love this, adults love this, it's a win for everyone.

Scooby-Doo Fright at the Fun Park

Find clues and figure out where the creepy ghoul is so you can catch him. We play this as a cooperative game because the official rules require secrecy and four year olds can't manage that.

Cooperative game play. Simple premise, play cards in piles from high to low and from low to high. But challenging to succeed!

Age: 8-Adult

5 Minute Dungeon

The most stressful 5 minutes of your life. Also perhaps the most fun. Work as a team to play cards as quickly as possible to battle challenge cards and defeat the boss, all within 5 minutes.

Feed the Woozle

Cooperative, silly game. More for kids to play with each other than for parents to play with kids. Walk backwards or hop with a spoon full of funny food items for the Woozle to eat.

Work as a team to spot items on the board (traffic lights, numbers, etc) and get everyone to the picnic at the end before the silly pigs eat all the food.

Technically a one player game but can be played as a team. Solve each of the the challenge cards with kitty themed crimes.

Magic Maze

High energy cooperative game where you race against the clock to move your heroes through the mall. The real challenge? Do this without talking!

Cat themed spacial puzzle. Start with low level challenges and work yourself up to expert, with up to four levels of cats on a challenge card!
