Game Like a Mother

Quick Take: This speed game is great for multi-step deductive reasoning and there is no math involved except for counting cards at the end of the game. Roll the dice, match to the correct monster, and slap before your opponent does! Fun premise, quick to learn, and cute monsters are always a win. 

How to Play: Your goal is to collect the most monsters. Deal out six monsters to the center and then take turns rolling the dice. There's a directional tile you place in the center of the cards that represents the portal the monsters are coming through. Based on the directions of the arrows pictured in the center, when you roll the dice you match the card they are indicating by selecting the biggest or smallest monster of a specific color and then moving the direction indicated by the arrow die and slapping the correct monster first. Replace the collected monster with a new monster and continue until there are just two monsters left. At this point the game is over and you count up the number of cards you have collected. Whoever has the most is the winner!

Variations: You can place fewer cards out in the center if you're playing with younger kids. If you're playing with mixed skill levels, you can have the more advanced player be required to slap the cards they have already collected before slapping the new monster card each turn.
