Games for the Easter Basket - Apr 2019

Slip something into the Easter basket that isn't candy. Holidays mean family time, what a great chance to play a new game together!

Happy Bunny

Can't have much more of an Easter themed game than this. Cooperative game where you try to collect more carrots than the farmer. Great alternative to Candyland for small children.

Hoot Owl Hoot

I continue to go with the woodland creatures for a sort of Easter theme. Great cooperative game, try to get the owls to their nest before the sun comes up!

Disney Princess Enchanted Cupcake Party

Springtime can and should mean cupcakes. Use the recipe cards to make cupcakes for each princess. Bonus - this is an Easter egg basket "treat" that doesn't count towards any official candy quota for the day.

Outfoxed!

One of our favorite cooperative games. It's like Clue but simpler and faster to play. Catching a fox seems like it could be Easter related … cute bunnies, thieving foxes, they can be in some sort of woodland creature category together, right?

Qwixx

Small, fantastic family dice game to slip into an Easter basket. Great for an older kid who doesn't necessarily want something too cutesy for Easter.

Well, it isn't a bunny but these colorful and cute snakes go into a general cute woodland creature category that is spot on for Easter. Match up the snake tiles and try to be the one to complete a snake. It's cute, durable, and I've found it appeals equally to both boys and girls.

Pengoloo

Pengoloo

Fun memory game with penguins and colored eggs. You roll two colored dice and get two chances to get at least one egg that matches so frustration levels are lower compared to other memory games.

Hatchimals EGGventure Game

Easter and eggs go hand in hand. This game combined a little bit of memory and a little bit of matching and luck. It's cute and sweet and sure to be a hit.

King's Gold

Small dice game to slip into an Easter basket, great to play with grandparents and aunts and uncles later in the day if you have an Easter dinner together. Try to end with the most gold! Fast to play, easy to learn.

Monopoly Deal

Perfect for an older kid who could use a small game in their Easter basket. A great alternative to  traditional Monopoly. It's faster and requires more strategy than luck, it's such a great game.
