Quick Take: Cooperative and simplified version of the game Clue for kids. Currently one of the favorite games in our house. It has a cute concept and is well put together. I had to read through a fair amount of rules for the first time we played but it was for good purpose and it really isn’t that complicated, you just have to know how to set things up correctly for the first time and then you’re good to go. My older two are able to set it up and play it successfully on their own.

How to Play: There are 16 different foxes who could be “the thief.” Your goal is to reveal suspects and to hunt down clues and by power of elimination you figure out which is the thief. At the beginning of the game you randomly select a thief card and stick it into the clue card device. You take turns rolling three dice on your turn to either reveal more suspects or travel to clue spots on the board. When you place clues on top of the card and slide it open, you either see white or a green dot. If it’s a green dot than the thief has that characteristic! (Glasses, cape, cane, etc.). You match revealed suspects with the clues you have uncovered and determine which fox is the thief.

Variations: We have never lost this game and we have played it a lot. Perhaps this is why my children like it so much. You can make the game a little harder by having the fox token move 5 spaces instead of 3 if you don't roll matching dice on your turn. I did this with my oldest and we barely won the game and he was definitely more excited about our narrow victory than he would have been if we had moved the fox token the standard 3 spaces throughout the game.
