Quick Take: Every child we've ever introduced this game to has loved it. Because who doesn’t love cupcakes? It is my go to gift for every birthday party we go to for a three or four year old girl. My sons love playing it too … because cupcakes. Honestly we barely even bothered with the actual game rules until recently, it was just too fun to take out the cards and build all the different cupcakes. The one big knock against this game is the tiny topper pieces that you need to be very careful not to lose or misplace.

How to Play: Your goal is build as many cupcakes as you can before all four clock tower pieces are uncovered. Each player takes turns drawing very sturdy little card pieces which either are pieces of a cupcake (wrapper, cupcake, frosting, or topper) or a piece of a clock tower or a piece that mixes everything back up again and is basically a reset for all the pieces you’re drawing from. No shuffling required and the kids can draw their own cards without screwing everything up. One awesome aspect of this game is that while it is not cooperative, as long as everyone does the same color of cards (pink or purple) there will be zero overlap for pieces used, so you never have to compete for the same piece.

Variations: Don’t play the actual game, just build the cupcakes for fun. Or take out the clock tower pieces so there isn’t the threat of the game ending before the pieces are all built.
