Quick Take: This game concept is so simple yet fun. And it's easy to adapt for different ages. My kids enjoyed playing a stripped down version of this game when they were little and they still enjoy it as a speed game now that they're a little older. It's portable and if you lose a piece or two it doesn't matter, the game still operates at 100%. This is a great first game to get for a small child that they will enjoy for years to come.

How to Play: They have 5 different options for game play in the official rules. The most common way to play is called Twins. All the cards start face-down in a pile and you flip over two cards at a time. Whoever finds the animal match between the two cards (there is only ever one match) wins the two cards. Once the cards in the original pile are gone you see who has collected the most cards. They are the winner! The other options listed in the rules are basically different speed games of varying level of complexity, they include recommended ages for each of the options.

Variations: For younger children you can go beyond (well, below) the different games listed on the rules and just have the child point at certain animals or colors on each page and cheer for them when they find it and then flip over the next card and do the same thing. Or you can have the kids take turns identifying the matches instead of racing each other. This is great for when a younger child desperately wants to get in on the cool game an older sibling is playing.
