Thanksgiving Games - November 2019

Quality family time means some quality games. These are choices that both Grandma and your sweet 6 year old nephew can play together.

King's Gold

Roll the dice and try to collect the most gold. Great for a mixed group because you can gang up on that one uncle and take it easier on your cute little niece or nephew.

Sorry! Revenge

Familiar game with all the backstabbing of the original but with a bit more strategy. Quick, easy, we've had this one for ages and it works well for a quick family game.

No Thanks!

Just because of the name, this wins as the ironic Thanksigiving game of this year. Simple concept, collect the cards with the lowest points. But there are opportunities for strategy and backstabbing - family games just don't get any better than that.

The Game

A new favorite. You can chat and play at the same time! Simple premise, play cards in piles from high to low and from low to high. But challenging to succeed!

Cover Your Assets

Celebrate America and capitalism! Make pairs of cards and then steal from your opponents. Move aside Monopoly, capitalism has a new favorite game.

Qwixx

A new classic and it's great for any age. Simple concept but there's opportunity for a good amount of strategy. Roll your dice and fill in as many numbers as you can on your sheet before your opponent.

Yamslam

Your quicker, easier, and more competitive version of Yahtzee. Compete with your opponents for poker chips with point values for Full House, Four of a Kind, etc. The game is set up as soon as you open the box, which I greatly appreciate.

Kingdomino

Great choice for the Settlers of Catan nerd in your midst when you refuse to play a 2 hour game with them. It has the same kind of feel and strategy but is so much faster to play.

Match-O-Rama

If you usually play Apples to Apples and want to change things up, this is a great option. It's basically like Family Feud but your answers are determined by the group of people you're playing with.

Monopoly Deal

All the fun of original Monopoly but in 20 minutes and with more strategy. Ideal for playing with your adult cousins or teenagers that you're forcing off their phones for family time.
