Quick Take: Social word game. I hope you like Venn diagrams! Come up with unique words and phrases based on word combinations determined by words linked by spools and string. As with most social games, this works best if you aim for fun times instead of cutthroat competition. I really appreciate that this game works well with just two players, that's rare for social games.

How to Play: Take turns placing spools and string and clipping words on the end of clothespins attached to the strings. Eventually you have what looks like a big mess of string, spools, and words. When the last word has been placed, you race to write down words on your little sheet of paper. You basically have created Venn diagrams - for the number on the spool you must write down a word or phrase that corresponds to all the words linked to that spool. Sometimes it is just one word, sometimes it can be four or more. Once you have filled out your entire sheet, you grab a bonus button. Whoever finishes last will not get a button. At this point you total your points. Identical words on multiple sheets are crossed off, no points awarded. If someone has written down a questionable word or phrase you can challenge by saying "Knit wit." The group votes on whether it's an acceptable answer or not. Whoever has the most points at the end is the winner!

Variations: You can wait and clip on all the words you'll be using at the very end if you like, so people don't have time to be thinking of words that fit the prompts over the course of the game.
