Quick Take: They took a basic memory game and added a classic fable and an element of fun. We like that it’s cooperative and it’s more toddler friendly than a lot of other games, although my youngest was fairly destructive so I guess it depends on the toddler you’ve got. Peaceable Kingdom has once again nailed it on the fundamentals, pieces are virtually indestructible and the game withstands being played on repeat by small children.

How to Play: Your goal is to play all the ingredients into the soup before you draw all the fire out cards. Lay all the cards face down on the board. Once you match up pairs in classic memory style you get to put them into the soup. Any fire out cards you find along the way must be played along the bottom as soon as you find them. There is a special magic stone card that once you find you can save and use against one fire out card.

Variations: Leave the cards face up as you uncover them, it can be a lot of cards for really young kids to keep track of.
