Restaurant Games - May 2020

We like to go to restaurants and play games. Like a Panera or coffee shop, we don't this at a steak house or something, we're super classy people (obviously). It's tricky because they need to be portable, quiet, and somewhat reasonable to play outside. Here are some winners!

Spot it Jr.! Animals

Spot the matching animal first! An ideal game when you're sitting outside a restaurant with a bored child and want to avoid caving to screen time. It's super portable and easy to play with toddlers but ages well, my older kids still like playing it.

Pass the Pigs Big Pigs

Roll the pigs and score the most points. Cute and easy to play, use the big pigs for backyard play or the original small pig dice if you're playing at a restaurant.

Crazy Creatures of Dr. Gloom

Get rid of your cards first while playing them in ascending or descending order. Very compact with quick rounds of play, it's a card game though so be careful in windy conditions.

Red7

Highly strategic game where you are trying to be the last person standing. You can play your cards as a new rule or as part of your hand. We discovered that this is not a lake game for people who want to have a drink and relax, this is definitely a thinking game. We love it!

Like Yahtzee but quicker and more strategic with cool poker style chips and a self contained board with felt so there's no loud dice rolling to make you crazy.

Compact game that is about anything but love. Backstab and do some simple card counting in order to eliminate your opponents and emerge as the victor! Simple to learn, quick to play.

Cat Stax.JPG

Cat Stax

The cats are your puzzle pieces as you try to solve each challenge card. Great game for both kids and adults as you sit at a restaurant. Barn Stax is the version for younger kids, highly recommend if you want something for younger ages.
