Really Loud Librarians Game Night

Exploding Kittens has become a standout publisher of board games that the whole family can enjoy together. Tryazon threw a board game night that included three of their games and we were so excited to test them out!

Really Loud Librarians is the newest of the bunch. It's a word game with kid friendly clues and game play but it's fun and easy to learn and a blast for any age group. No small accomplishment! Each time you have a prompt and you are trying to make your librarian go as far as possible around the track. The nice thing is, you have three different letters to use as options for your answers to the prompt card and as you provide answers and move around the track you have new letters to choose from. You don't ever have to worry about getting stuck on a particular letter, there are always options to choose between!

Happy Salmon was new to me and I'm so glad they sent it our way because I'm going to use this a bunch. Basically, if you can high five and fist bump then you can play this game. Just flip through your stack of cards and try to be the first to complete all the actions by yelling out whatever you're supposed to do and finding a partner to fist bump or trade places with, etc. It's simple but so fun.

Throw Throw Burrito was, of course, the highlight of the evening. The teenager in attendance called it "danger spoons" and I thought that was a pretty spot on description. You're trying to get sets of cards and once you do, you get to declare different types of burrito battles where you throw squishy burritos at each other. Oh, the joy of all involved. It was amazing to behold.

Thank you to Exploding Kittens and Tryazon for the wonderful games! So many of our best quality time is built around games and this was such a memorable game night.

Stephanie's Suggestions #2

Hi Anne, We listened to a few of "my weird school" books this weekend. Honestly, they are better than I thought they would be, based on the Amazon reviews which did not seem overly positive about this
