Quick Take: I love this game. It's like Uno meets Scrabble and you're using tiles with colors and pictures on them instead of letters. They have a few extra components with wind tiles and jewels for extra turns that make the game a little more interesting and strategic without becoming too bogged down in complex rules. It's excellent for kids and also a great choice for an adult game night.
How to Play: The goal is to get rid of all of your tiles first. You split all the tiles evenly between the players and everyone draws 5 tiles from their pool and onto their playing rack. One person plays the tile of their choice in the center of the game board and the other players take turns playing tiles off this beginning tile that must either match the color or picture of any tiles they border. You get bonus jewels for placing a tile that borders 2, 3, or 4 other tiles and you're able to use these jewels to purchase extra turns for yourself which is very handy in a game where you want to play your tiles as quickly as possible. Wind tiles help you adjust pieces on the board by one space and can be used to set up your regular tiles for better plays and bigger jewel bonuses. There are a number of other minor rules like maximum number of jewels you can possess at the end of the turn and the manner in which you can trade out tiles for new ones.
Variations: You can divide the wind tiles into a separate pile at the beginning of the game and make sure they are equally divided among all the players, this helps provide a more level playing field.
