Quick Take: Tic Tac Toe, but with a little strategy. Smaller pieces can be "gobbled" up by larger pieces so there's a bit more to the game than regular Tic Tac Toe. It takes about 2 seconds to explain the rules and get going playing this, which makes it a fantastic choice for a classroom or playdate game. Pieces are sturdy, my children have done all they can do to destroy this game and it's impressively durable. I've been surprised by how much we've played this one, you don't expect much from tic tac toe but the gobbler modification to the game makes it really fun to play.
How to Play: Your goal is to get three in a row. On your turn you may either play one of your pieces to an open space or you may choose to use a larger piece to "gobble" a piece your opponent has already played. You may even gobble up one of your own pieces if you like! You may also move pieces you have already played, but once you touch them you must move them. First to three pieces of the same color in a row is the winner.
Variations: With younger players we allow re-dos of silly moves which are easy to make when you're getting used to playing this game and aren't yet used to the gobbler aspect of play.
