Quick Take: It's a lot of game crammed into a few cards and dice and just 20 minutes of play time. Collect cards that allow you to roll dice to battle and collect various creatures and most importantly, dragons! The game play and concept feel fresh but intuitive, it's exciting to play, and each game is different. The game is well made and the specialty cards and dice all look great. And the game itself is so much fun. This game is a grand slam.

How to Play: You win by collecting the most points. You collect points by winning cards with different point values. Each player is dealt five red adventurer cards to start and you have the choice to draw an additional card on your turn or play a series of cards related by number, color, or sequence in order to roll dice to battle the creature or enhancement card of your choosing. These cards are called Dragonwood cards, 5 are laid out at a time and any one of them may be selected for battle at any time. Playing a series of 3 cards and you get to roll 3 dice, play a series of 4 cards and you get to roll 4 dice, and so on and so forth. If you roll the minimum number required on the card you acquire the card and the powers or points on the card and a replacement Dragonwood card is put in its place. The game ends when both of the dragon cards have been acquired by players. That is when you tally up your points and see who has the most and has won the game.

Variations: If you want to play a shorter version you can just go through the red Adventurer deck once and tally up points once you have done so.
